Yes! I tried the 傻瓜头 again! :P



DC brought Baby to the salon when I was halfway through the haircut. I was worried that Baby did not recognize me cos he did not show any reaction when he saw me. Thank God my fear did not come true, he warmed up after he came to realize that I'm his mummy! :)

We did lanterns this weekend

Baby and I made lanterns out of papers this afternoon to celebrate the coming mid-autumn festival. As usual, i did most of the work and Baby played with the materials while I worked on the lanterns. :)

The materials:
Colored papers, threads, scissors, scotch tapes and stickers (optional).


Fold the paper into half and cut as many strips as you like on the fold line, be careful not to cut through the paper.


Add in the decorative bits.


Unfold the paper, roll the paper and tape (or glue or staple, whichever way you prefer) the edges together. Stick on the thread as handle and hook up the handle with a stick and Tada, you've got a lantern!


I did 5 lanterns, 4 of which I hung up and 1 I hooked up with a stick for Baby to play during the lantern walk...


The lanterns turned out very colorful, love 'em! It's a pity the stars couldn't glow in the dark! I couldn't find in Popular bookstore, so I bought the stars stickers in neon colors instead. Nevertheless, Baby loves these star stickers and had fun playing with them!

What's mid-autumn festival without riddles, moon cakes and lanterns? I printed out some riddles in chinese and wanted to dangle it to the ends of the lanterns but I had no time for that. Instead, I pasted all the strips of riddles onto a piece of paper, strung and hung it up together with the lanterns. :)

We had a mini Mid-Autumn celebration, where CP's family came over. After food, it's down to the playground where Baby A had fun in his kiddy car again!

Baby's "First" shoes

Went shopping around for baby shoes. We wanted something with a grip at the bottom and a slightly hard exterior to hold his little feet properly.

We found this at KidStyle a few days ago, a Adiddas Disney design. They were offering a $20 trade-in for old shoes so we got it despite it still being too big for Baby A.



It seems that baby shoes are not easy to find. The next day, went to Colette at Tanglin Mall after his music lesson but none of them fit ... Anyway, we are picky too, none of the designs look nice.

Well, off to ION Orchard we went. I knew a place where we always managed to get the baby clothes that we both like. Shortly after, we arrived at Burberry :)

Indeed, we found what we want immediately!



In fact, Baby A was very much interested in a sweater too but it was too big for him. He actually whined when we took it off him ... 识货之人.

Put 3 different types of jams on a plate. Mix them up and sprinkle some colorful candies on top.

Tonkatsu, anyone?

I think we have beaten the crowd from COMEX. We didn't have to queue at Saboten. There are these new Japanese eateries at the 3rd floor of Parco Marina and I am slowing working my way through them :)

Free bowl of vegies. Looks big. I never knew that I could finish it. However, CP and I wolfed it down, thanks to the delicious salad dressings of sesame and orange peel.



Very delicious, I must say of the katsu don. Each set also comes with matcha ice-cream at the end. Yummy!




Meaning of Saboten. Cactus?


So that's why the rice is so delicious.


By the time we finished, long queues have formed at all the restaurants here.


Thank God we are not the one queuing :)

Colour it up

That's right, we decided we need a colour laser AIO printer. It had to be a Canon too. Here's our buy at COMEX 2010.



After a bad experience with Brother, let's hope Canon will be better with its tried and test user interface. Due to arrive after 13-Sep.

Cost: $859 with delivery. 2 yrs on-site warranty.
