We're just back from Japan, what else could the new theme be? Keke...

Fully clad in the traditional clothes and walked on the olden streets, the family was totally swooned over Japan!

New Blog Header: Staycation 2016

It has become an yearly affair to update the blog header and I've just completed this task in my end of year to-do list... Yay!:)

The new header was a gif file with different rotating pictures of our past staycations in 2016.

We have always enjoyed our staycation together as a family and were blessed to have gone to 5 such stays this year (and still counting!). I thought it would be good to recap these wonderful memories whenever I view my blog!

So, here are the new blog headers (5 versions, each showing up for 1 sec before rotating to another picture):

New Blog Header

It's been such long time since the change of the last blog header! We've been terribly busy in the past year that we overlooked the entry of the blog!

The new blog header features a picture we took during the SG50 National Day, that's why we're all in red! At a place that the family love...Gardens By The Bay. :)

Also updated the sidebar:
- Removed the twitter updates since we seldom tweet now
- Removed the community logo since it never served the desired purpose it was set out for
- Re-arranged the widgets to move the popular posts and my precious up
- Re-activated the ads (in progress)

New Blog Header!

Haha, DC just changed his profile picture. It was a family picture that was taken in a hotel room. I like the picture and like it better than the one on the current blog header, that I decided to change to a new blog header.

Just felt that the current theme was there for too long and it needed a change.

It was effortless to think of what to put up on the header next... it has to be the ocean staycation we had not too long ago because the family enjoyed it the best!

A timely blog header change

Yes, it's been too long and B is 1 year old!

Recently we've been to a photo studio for family shoot. What's more appropriate time to change a new header than now? So, here it is, a simple one... and it's the same as the cover picture on my fb! :)

Blog Defacement

Ok, I'm not been blogging for quite a while and when I tried to go in today after some posts, I got a shock! This is what I saw:

The header that I've used for almost a year was out of alignment!

Who could have done it? What caused the defacement? Blogger down? My posts contains erroneous html tags? Is it only limited to Mac? I asked myself these questions and proceeded to investigate...

Problem was resolved now. It seems like Picassa did some stuffs (I suspect they implemented SSL) that caused the images to be auto-resized by half! What I did was to copy the new image URL and that did the trick to restore the page! :)

Quite a quick fix!

Now, business is back as usual! :)

Wanted to wait for baby's studio pictures to be out (1.5 mths already!) before changing a new blog header... but can't wait any further, we have gotten sick and wanted to get rid of the blues!

Blue, the enhanced version

The colour stays blue... with the pregnancy images retreated to the background and the baby's pics placed in the foreground. The rainbow reminds of God's promise never to flood the earth. It symbolises a new beginning. Ever heard of the legend where a pot of gold lies at the end of the rainbow? My baby is as good and precious as the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and I hope he will lead a colorful and enriching life, just like what he has brought onto us! :)

Also changed: The pregnancy counter has been replaced by Baby A's photo. Click and you'll see the collection of his pictures since birth.

My twitter updates has just been added, right below DC's. I've signed up for this account for a long long time already and luckily I still remember the password to it! :P

Having tagged so many labels to our posts, it's high time to do a consolidation. So, I have added some of the categories that we have on the right column.

Blue about pregnancy?

Sometime back, DC took some maternity pictures for me... I thought it's a good idea to display them on our blog header.

Blue is the new theme, not that I'm feeling blue throughout the pregnancy but because blue is the colour for boy. :) Very soon we will be welcoming the new member to the family. I reckon this header will not stay there for long, it will get outdated once A arrives... I'm now thinking of ideas for the next theme - most likely an enhanced version of this one. :)

Did you know that the latest Sakura 09 layout is the 10th layout for our blog? The very first was the orginal template from Blogger. I thought it might be good if I find a place to store all the different layouts we've had over the years...

So, tata, this is the collection so far. Which do you like best? My personal favorite is the Romantic Japan 08 layout - sweet and simple. I like the current Sakura 09 design as well - this is one of the pieces that require the least effort but yet obtained the refreshing effect that I wanted (because of the big colour contrast from the previous version maybe?).

I will update this post whenever a new theme has been implemented. So, stay tuned! :)

Blog Theme Refreshed

It's been quite some time since I last changed the blog theme... So, here it is! In comes the Japanese Spring Sakura and out goes the outdated Korean Autumn Leaves. :)

Besides "Flower Viewing" which was deliberately planned, our most recent Tokyo trip also unintentionally bear the theme of "Beef Exploration". So if you noticed, on the blog header, I've included the dinning pictures of the satisfied DC and CP feasting on the beefy meals.

The green background is to give the blog a new refreshed feeling. Refreshing...just like spring leaves and our trip!



Also changed are the removal of the Baby Sex poll (we don't need that anymore since we already know the gender) and the change of colour of the pregnancy counter (initially it was pinkish) to match the new blog colours (green)...
