Baby at Chili's

What was Baby pointing at?

It's the mouth watering dessert!

First photo: The staffs crowded around him to play with him and gave him a balloon! The picture shows him holding the balloon. :)

LV's Le Cafe Litteraire

We were quite surprised to receive this in our mailbox.
20101012-D80-01
20101012-D80-03

It was an invitation to LV's cocktail event at their store in Ngee Ann City. Not knowing what to expect, we went down with Baby A looking for some party fun.

Well, seems like it was an occasion to reward their customers and also to familiarise them with some of their personalisation services. Here's the hot-stamping machine that is used to initial that wallet, bag or tag.

At each of the designated stations, we collected passport stamps on our little LV journal book. There is tarot reading, shadow-cutting. Here's my shadow, expertly cut out within a minute.

There is photo-taking too. I wonder if we'll be able to get the photos ...

Special Date, Special Gifts

Another year of memories between CP and myself. For the past 1 yr, we had a little rascal to keep us busy. It really changed our lives. We hardly went to the cinemas, no fine dining and hardly any shopping, except for baby stuff :)

Last year, CP and I celebrated at Jaan. This year, we included Baby A! We had lunch at the Bar and Billiard Room, Raffles Hotel.

20101009-EPL1-36

The moment we stepped in, the staff begun fussing over Baby A. Well, he's cute, isn't he?
20101009-EPL1-01

They have quite a sumptuous spread with nice desserts. Didn't know CP like oysters ... hmm.

Baby A also had his share :)

After that, we had a walk at our favourite store and proceeded to ION. How can we forget Baby A, right? I knew Burberry would not disappoint. We found a cool nice shirt for Baby A!

So, what's my gift? It's again my favourite :D

Life is indeed more meaningful. I look forward to see Baby A each morning and evening after work. I am also very blessed to have a wonderful, patient wife and mummy in CP! Indeed, God has blessed us bountifully. Thank you, Father!

Small world

While we were having our dinner at the nearby golf course, a friend of my dad whom he didn't see for some years saw him and came over to say hello. He was having dinner with his family at another table.

Some time later, my friend surprised me when she came over and tapped me on my shoulder. She was sitting at the same table as my dad's friend and my dad's friend turned out to be her future father-in-law! We might be meeting up 2 weeks later with the rest of the gang. So, I didn't expect to see her there. What a pleasant coincidence!

Here's Baby and me at the dinner. Friend was sitting at the table behind! (Her table not shown)

It's great to meet old friends and know that they are doing well... in this case, my friend be getting married just before X'mas. Congrats! :)

Christian's 3rd birthday party

Wow, it seems that every weekend, we have some fun for Baby A. After Resorts World Sentosa last week, it's off to Baby A's cousin's birthday party!

Children's Day 2010

We didn't have anything planned for Baby today, Oops!

But, but...After work, we bought toys for him, not just one but 3! ;)

We were home earlier than usual and were greeted by a pleasant surprise. We discovered improvement in Baby gross motor skills that was unknown to us 2 days ago! *Happy*

Here's DC and him playing the Polar Coaster at home:

It was sheer coincidence that they both wore the same color shirt today and in the pic, they were like mirror image (except that one is super and the other mini size) and, they were both touching their feet. I'm going to name this pic "Like father, Like son"! Hehe :P

Have fun!

Sashimi once again!

There is full of Japanese restaurants at Parco Marina 3rd floor. Tomi Sushi is the next one that we "attacked"!

20100930-EPL1-45

Does brought back memories of the restaurant a friend brought CP and I to in Tokyo.

We wasted no time with our orders. Finally, CP and I can enjoy a sake together. It must have been 2 years at least.
20100930-EPL1-02

Appetiser. Some sort of fish with soya sauce, not sure what.
20100930-EPL1-04

Sashimi @ $32
20100930-EPL1-12

Negitoro Maki (minced tuna belly roll) @ $15
20100930-EPL1-13

Ebi Tempura. This is really fantastic!
20100930-EPL1-15

Steamed Asari clams.
20100930-EPL1-16

Chawanmushi. There're bits of orange peel in it, which makes for a unique and fragrant taste.
20100930-EPL1-26

Uni sushi @ $20. Real good. Gotta be careful with uni because if it's not fresh, it'll be yucky.
20100930-EPL1-27

Mekajiki Sashimi.
20100930-EPL1-31

Sake Harasu Shioyaki (Grilled Salmon Belly) $13

Pampering myself in progress...

I've been spending more time for myself since last week... I felt rejuvenated, relieved, relax, reassured and revived again! :D

My (R)etail therapy consists of the following:

Hair and brows trimmings, new pair of shades, indulgence in yet another hotel stay, good food, F1 races and lots of shopping loots (1 necklace, 1 jacket, 1 skirt, 3 blouses, 3 belts and 8 dresses)!

Next on my shopping list will be a swimsuit, a pair of slipper, t-shirts, shorts and a nice hair color and probably a good pedicure and relaxing spa... yeah, I'm back with a vengeance, it's payback time to make up for my long lost me time! :P

My 14-month old Baby

Here's my 2-teeth cutie:

My boy is as playful as the previous month but he is also more independent now. More willing to be left alone to play on his own while we do our own things. That is good although it didn't last very long.

Diet wise, I heard that he's been rejecting some of his foods e.g. cereal, cheese and sometimes porridge during weekdays (hmm, weekends seems fine). I'm speculating that he's sick of his same old food... However, when there are things that he likes, he would open his mouth real big and gulped it down. I find that he likes my mum's porridge very much... like mummy. :)

He's definitely drinking more milk and water than before and will not resist if we put the teat/spout in his mouth. Still sleeping good hours both in the day and night. :)

His fine motors improved too.. He can press his toy buttons, had the ability to click on and off the pens and feed himself his puffs easily now. :)

He has rode kiddy car for first and second times and to our surprise, he enjoyed it very much and we thought he would not be ready for it!

Then, he celebrated the mid-autumn festival at the playground downstairs and carried his own lantern for the first time. He also had fun making colorful paper lanterns and playing with the decorative stickers.

We took him for a photo shoot a day just before his 14-month where he cried and laugh lots throughout. We expect good photos this time.

Then, last weekend, we went to the ResortWorld for yet another stay-cation with Baby and he swam for the first time at a big pool (for kids). After that was a mad rush to a friend's son's 1st birthday. It was a tiring weekend without rest.

We tried out 2 enrichment classes for him (he seems to like one and has no interest in the other). I will be trying out more sessions just to be sure. I hate to think about it but, seriously it may be high time to source for his playgroup. I'm afraid I may even be late for it already!
