There are some things only parents do and going to the Istana is one of them. Never in my life had I ever wanted to go but with Baby A around, we start to do strange things ...
So on National Day's eve, we went with my parents and brother's family as well. I had a shock when I saw the queue snaked all the way to Dhoby Ghaut MRT's bus stop. It took about 30min before we went in.
The feel is somewhat like the Botanic Gardens. Bountiful greenery, families sitting on the grass with their children doing drawings.
Baby A was so tired from the wait to get in that he fell asleep in the stroller, with much perspiration. Indeed, we weren't prepared for a hot field trip. We left his mini fan at home ... oops.
It really a long walk in to the main building. The sun was out in full strength too. We spent some time enjoying the live band performance and let Baby A have some fun at the play area.
Baby A's twin cousins:
It was noon time very soon and we round it off with lunch at Crystal Jade in Plaza Singapura.
