I think I've gone mad. Maybe I am determined not to buy any more new clothes for Baby A after this round. Here I am at RL again for their Thanksgiving Sale. I selected a total of 11 pieces for Baby A. Why not, it's a sale and an additional 25% off the sale price!

Project Fitness Kicks Off

I finally kickstart my exercise regime last week! :)

Wonder what took me so long to make use of the gym when it's there all the while? It's just a lift press away!

Here's a photo of me at the cycling station.


I'm planning for more sport activities like swimming, pilates (普拉提), etc to come...

As usual, I hope it will last. :P

My 16-month old Baby

Baby is 16 months old. :) It's time again for an update!


His motor skills certainly improved by leaps and bounds. He's more mobile now and would crawl into the rooms and everywhere he likes, but luckily he seldom moves far away from sight.

I hope his diet would improve too... He only likes his puffs, my mum's (his grandma's) cooking and our food on the dining table. It's becoming a challenge to feed him at his high chair. He is now into feeding himself and would shut his mouth unless his spoon or food he desires is approaching his mouth! On the other hand, we were consoled when we managed to get him to drink more milk (by giving bigger teats and adding Horlicks to his milk) since last week.

He's also very into biting nowadays. Maybe he's still teething, that's why... You may be surprised but his bites hurt (ouch!). My mum told me he wouldn't bite just anyone... it seems like it's only me that he bites, the 'lucky' one :(

Baby also had his first car accident on the road. We were involved in a chain collision, thank god, he was unharmed!

We started bringing him out at night now that his sleep time has extended till past 10pm. He attended two night parties (his uncle's wedding and his mummy's DnD) and celebrated 4 birthdays (his paternal grandpa, his maternal grandma, his daddy and his little buddy Joven's) and there are more night events coming up in the next month! :)

We also brought him to another staycation (his fourth this year) at Fairmont. There, we got him to swim. He didn't really like it though.

We brought him to more play trials and was happy that he was enjoying himself! We love seeing him move to the beat and clapping his hands! New tricks: twisting and turning, pressing buttons, stacking and feeding himself with spoon! :) He could also point to things when asked where the item is e.g. flower, leaf, bird, cat, etc. We also saw that he was getting very familiar with his toys, so we got him more toys to play and that includes an outdoor slide. :)

This month, DC and I did our online spree and crazily got Baby 15 apparels! He is sure a lucky Baby to have both DC and me pampering him like that! :)

How to prevent yourself from tearing ang baos wrongly

After DC helped to open up "all" the ang baos that I found while clearing my remains at my mum's, I did a counter-check to prevent history from repeating itself! There's a quick way, this was how I did it...

Find a light source and put the red packets against the light.


If you are able to see through the design on the other side against the light, you can be sure there is no money inside.

If you can't see through it AND the packet does not feel empty, LOOK INSIDE, there is likely cash inside. :)

DC looked into each pack disbelievingly to verify if my method works and haha, it was proven to be effective! I recovered 3 filled ang baos worth $50 that he had missed out! :)

Steamboat at the Rajah Inn

My parents and sis recommended a steamboat place, so off we went to the Rajah Inn on a Sunday evening. :)


It's been a long time since I took steamboat outside of home. This one tastes great, the meats are fresh and tender and the pots are small and personalised (i.e. you get to dip whatever you like in your own pot). There's even unique dishes such as the quail eggs, chocolate fondue and fried durian to order! One thing bad: the ice lemon tea tasted like ice tea. I had to request for 6-7 slices of lemon to make it taste like ice LEMON tea!


Baby was sitting right at the end of the table. We had cautiously placed the pots away from him to prevent him from touching. He had his home-cooked porridge there and his appetite that day was good!


There was another baby in the restaurant (in the background) and he was crying all the way that his parents had to take turns to carry him. We were glad that Baby did not behave the same way. As a reward, he gets to eat his ice-cream by himself! :)
