SBS Bus makeover

When we board this SBS bus no. 54, we were in for a suprise. All the seats were replaced by sofas, there was even a mock-up bar counter! Seats were certainly comfy. You can actully vision holding a party on board! Bus driver must be thinking we were crazy, snapping away. Fortunately, the bus was reaching the interchange so it was rather empty.

Afternoon events at Plaza Singapura

Quite a happening afternoon under the hot sun. There's rock climbing and a cheerleading competition going on at Plaza Singapura Shopping Center. Nice slick moves from some of the teams. The cheerleading competition seems more fun and exciting, probably that's why the bigger crowd in front of it.

2nd Night Shoot of the City Skyline

Finally, something fruitful. Shot the city skyline from about 7 p.m. till 11 p.m. It was cloudy and rain poured down at one time. Fortunately, the rain cleared after a short while ... it's quite nice to see the transition from dusk till the time night settled in. I'll probably choose one or from the fireworks recently to frame up as a wall art.

Night photo shoot at Esplanade

Went down with some of my friends for a night shoot at Esplanade. To my suprise, it was very crowded due to some music festival events. Personally, wasn't too satisfied with the shots. It just didn't feel right ...

Yummy Hor Fun

Some blogger recommended this on blog. He goes by the motto like "I eat, I shoot, I post".

This is in Toa Payoh. The small plate costs $10 and can feed 2. We ordered the medium, which costs $20 and can feed 3 - 4.

It's really nice. Seldom do you find hor fun this nice. The kuay tiao was slightly charred, giving it the unique taste. That aside, the ingredients were really fresh, with prawns, scallops, sea cucumbers. It's a bit over on the salt though ...

Indonesia Earthquake

I felt the quake tremors...for the first time!

When it first happened, I thought my giddy spells were back, this time more serious... When it happened again, I thought it was my colleague sitting behind me kicking my chair. It was when one after another colleague started shouting "Did you feel that?" that I realised that I was not the only one who felt it...the whole building was shaking!

We were quickly evacuated from the building. When we were down, we saw that the colleagues from the higher floors were already there. We were then told to go for our lunch and come back later (an early long lunch, wow!). During lunch, I heard a lot of people talking about it, even DC felt the tremors at his workplace! When we were back to the office, I was told that another tremor was felt and at about 2:30pm, we were released from work.

It was a rather disturbed day but thanks to the earthquake, I've got half day off to do my shopping. :)

Fireworks (元宵节)

元宵节 - The 15th day of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The fireworks lasted a whopping 10 min! Simply a great visual ... almost thought it was never going to end.

Didn't expect the crowd to be here as there were hardly any people last weekend. By the time we got to Esplanade bridge, it was almost filled with photographers. Fortunately, we still managed to get a good spot. Personally, I am most satisfied with the fireworks capture this time, no distracting streetlights, no heads popping in front of me.
