We came by a body massage which was quite unique and decided to give it a try. The whole process was done with only a hand held machine, not with hands. The machine is said to aid the astronauts to relieve tension and improve blood circulation during their long journey to space. Sounds amazing?
The body massage turned out to be very different from what we thought it would be. The whole process was not enjoyable at all. The pricking sensation was untolerable at times, so occassionally you would hear either of us shout "Lower the strength please" or "Please up the strength". At the end of the 45-minute treatment, we felt relieved that it was finally over. I really don't know whether this machine is effective or not, maybe it does make a difference beneath the skin, but on the surface, I don't see or feel any difference after the treatment. In fact, DC's aches came back to him on the next day! How could the astronauts stand this treatment I wonder?
This is our first time to the Matahari Spa, location is very convenient as it is somewhere in Orchard. The couple room was very cozy and nicely decorated with a jacuzzi at a corner. We like the ambience of this couple room best as compared to the other spas that we've been to. The consultant is very professional and seems to be talking total sense when she touched on the topic of facial. Can you believe it? Despite the painful experience we just had, we signed up for a $300 package! I know it sounds absurd to believe the consultant's words without trying out other treatments...but it's too late for regrets now! Anyway, it's only $300 and we could use it on a range of treatments offered at the outlet. Be rest assured that we definitely won't be opting for the same treatment ever again. The credits are most likely to be used on facial and spas. Hopefully their facial and spas are as good as they claim!
