Twenty years after the last film in the series, Stallone starred as the Vietnam war veteran John Rambo.
I've never watched any of his films, never know exactly who Rambo was but definitely heard of the big name "Sylvester Stallone". Yesterday was the first time I watched his movie. Went with DC and his friend to watch this fourth installment of the Rambo series. They seemed disappointed with the plot but I thought it was quite alright. Probably because I didn't know what to expect of a "Rambo" movie, hehe...
The story is set in Burma where the world's longest-running civil war (the Burmese-Karen conflict) rages into its 60th year. As a river guide, John Rambo sent a group of missionaries into the war-torn region to deliver medical supplies and food to the Karen tribe. The action began when he returned for the missionaries who were held captive by the Burmese army and saved their lives.
