We had this wild (read: wow) idea to spend my birthday at the zoo...
"We are going to the zoo, zoo, zoo (on my birthday)! :D
How about you, you, you?
You can come too too too (on your birthday)!
Cos there are birthday discounts for you you you!"
Haha, zoo is one of the places that we would never thought of going except with our little one. I always hated the zoo but surprisingly it was the Singapore attraction that I went most (mostly during school excursions, often against my wishes). I am a mosquito magnet, I would always return home with >20 bites and the rest had little or none!
We figure that it is now time to go for a visit for the benefit of our boy. After so many years, I was pleasantly surprised that the zoo had changed so much for the better! I went in and came back with 10x lesser mosquito bites. Most importantly, Baby had his edu-tainment!
Here's our foot trails. Didn't manage to watch all the animals but I think it's a good start.
First stop. The ticketing counter, not to collect the tickets (cos I got free pass :P) but to collect my birthday badge.
Second stop. Family shoot at the Courtyard.
Next stop? The animals!
Stop 3: Cotton-top Tamarin
Stop 5: False Gharial
Stop 7: Proboscis Monkey. We were just in time for their feeding!
Stop 8: Rhinoceros Hornbill
Stop 10: White Tiger.
Splitting images?
Baby wasn't so keen in the tigers. It was his nap time. Just as he dozed off to sleep in his cooling stroller, I stood up to leave. That jolted him up from his La La Land. He was instantly refreshed and wanted mummy to carry him!
Stop 13: In the tram.
Stop 15: Passing giraffes. Oops correction, we are the passers-by! :P
After seeing some more animals, we decided to stop at the much talked about Kidzworld (Stop 19). I wanted to prepare Baby's swimsuit but DC wasn't prepared to get him wet. After all, it's only our first visit. There are more visits to expect. Anyways, Baby had the fun 'feeling' the waters.
Stop 20: We went back to our starting point on boat. Picture taken in the boat.
Stop 23: A photo of DC and Baby A at the Tiger Trek.
Last stop. Food finally before we brought Baby to my mum's new haven for his proper lunch! :) We were so very fortunate that the super duper heavy rain came after we were out of the zoo and having lunch sheltered!
