A Package for Baby A

Taking advantage of the low US$ exchange rates, we order a few Burberry clothes for baby, a shirt and 2 pairs of jeans. We had also wanted to get this at the store here but well, it was cheaper to get from the US store instead.



There were other buys as well and should be arriving soon from US the next few weeks.

When did National Day move to November?

Haha, today!

The theme for my company's D&D this year is "Prime Time Special". We came up with a wacky theme for our table and that's National Day costume - cos National Day was always a prime time special! So, all of us wore red tops and brought flags, clappers as props to the dinner.



DC and I were frantically searching for red tops and finally found one that we were satisfied at the eleventh hour. It was hectic and I never want such last minute shopping ever! Our last resort was to get Polo Ralph's Polo Tee or even the Giordano's I Love Singapore Tee. I'm so glad we manage to buy something not as high priced and very reusable. DC got himself a polo tee from Levis at just $19 and my red top was from Naf Naf at $79.90 and denim skirt was from Levis at $89.90 (after member discount).

This time, I bought Baby to the dinner! He wore his t-shirt from the National Day concert and it befitted the theme! :)


Baby was scared of the loud music/noise at first but later got used to it. There were 2 other men sitting in the table. We had to add in extra chair for DC (he was the gatecrasher :P). We were disappointed that there were no baby chairs available for him, ... fortunately, he was quite well-behaved tonight. :)



There was no lucky draw for us cos we reached the venue really late (had to get Baby ready). I was disappointed but thinking on the brighter side, we could leave early and by the time we reached home, Baby was ready to sleep and nope, he didn't miss his bedtime.

This is magic! Every time when we don this sweater hood on him, he falls off to sleep automatically...


It's one of our best buys and we carry it everywhere we go with Baby - you never know when you'll need it. It's proven itself useful, we've used it a number of times. We so love it that DC has just bought one for himself! :P Haha, another one of their 父子装!

Pieces of nostalgia from school

I was clearing out my old stuffs from my parents place (they're moving very soon *sob*) when I found a lot of my old school days books all the way from primary school to university! Those used to be my treasures! I didn't bear to throw them away, so they stayed in the shelf all the while and I had forgotten all about them until yesterday...

Ok, I'm being nostalgic but they do really bring back fond memories of my childhood/teenage/uni years!

- When I found my computer books on the shelf, I remembered the days DC and I were at the bookshop at Clementi browsing the books and considering which to buy...


- When I found my 3 cartons of diy printed ring-binded computer books, I remembered DC's goodness. He helped me find, print and bind the books that he thought would be useful to me in my first work. :)


- When I found my IHPT and final year project reports, tutorials and logbooks, I remembered the lab days and how our team actually got the first prize for the in-house practical training project.


- When I found my presentation transparencies, I thought to myself, "who would use transparencies now?"!

- When I found my sketch books and the portraits I've drawn when I was a teenager, I thought of filling up the sketch book. I missed drawing but wonder if I could ever squeeze in time to draw now with my busy schedules?


- When I found my music scores, I remembered the ECA days where we learnt to play the instruments and performed on stage. I even have a photo of me and friends in blazers on the last page of the file!

- When I found my story books, I remembered which books were gifts from my pri/sec schools for my academic performance. I remembered topping the class and achieving first in standard in schools... :) I also remembered which books belong to which sis and can you believe it? I still have the Enid Blyton, Famous Five, Nancy Drew, Roah Dahl, Christopher Pike and Stephen Kings!


- When I found my pri/sec school magazines and read my past published chinese and english compositions, I couldn't remember anything about the compositions that I wrote! However, I do remember that I ever went on stage to receive the first prize for chinese composition contest.


You know what? When you start to have so much recollection of memories like me, you know you are getting old! I wish I could find space to keep these gems but I know most of them already have their fate sealed and belong to the bin...

I'm given up to this weekend to finish my packing... I've yet to see my soft toys, my still-wrapped-presents and ohhh, my dairies since nine! Am I starting to feel nostalgic again... :P

1 Year Older

It's my birthday once again! Had lunch with CP and Baby A at Ellenborough Cafe Merchant Court Hotel. Food selection was so so, not much variety.



On a side note, Baby A didn't have much appetite. Didn't finish his porridge and wasn't too interested in the buffet spread either.

We walked over to Central Mall after lunch. What's with the mushroom, Baby?


Unfortunately, this balloon burst in the taxi. Didn't cause much of an reaction from Baby A though :)

Finally, the photo from the LV cocktail event was ready. The staff recognised Baby A when we were there making a purchase and quickly passed it to us!

My longtime friend's wedding

I just came back from a friend's wedding... She is my longest friend, my mum knows her mum and her sister and my sister were classmates! Didn't have the chance to hear the love story from her but from the very well-done video of the day highlight, her husband seems to be who is very sporting and fun... I'm happy for her that she found her true love. :)



The dinner was held at the Civil Service Club at Tessensohn Road - Qian Yi (Farrer Park) Restaurant. I was hoping to see more people there but only Alan & Sheryl were there. However, it was nice catching up with them. :) Food was not bad esp the cereal prawns but I had to leave for home after the photo-taking. Missed Baby, should have brought him along!

Unstoppable

After six months, we managed to catch another movie - Unstoppable. This movie nearly took my breath away... it's so full of unstoppable suspense and excitement. Thumbs up but can't help comparing this with the other train movie that Denzel Washington starred in... :)

Sipping KOI for 4 consecutive days!

Our new-found love - The KOI cafe! :)

We've been having it for the past 4 days since Sunday!

Always long queue! We've seen queues everywhere - AMK, Bishan and Bugis! That prompted us to try...






Happy me with my KOI. I love my milk tea with pearls (and quarter suger)! :)

What's nice about it? It's the hype now! There is actually not much difference from the rest except that the pearls are smaller but more, less ice and not too sweet (well, we get to choose the sugar level)! Just the way we like it! :)

[Edited on 17 Nov 2010: Well, it seems that bubble tea has revived (after 10 years)! Someone recommended Gong Chai to us... hmm sounds yummy too! Looks like we've got to do a search for the most convenient outlet and try Gong Chai out! I love bubble teas! :) ]

Baby On Bus

It was one of the rare occasions as bus is not our usual transport... we were on our way to the library that day and Baby enjoyed the bus ride. :)
