Here's my take

Cooking is actually not too difficult. It's the preparation and cleaning up that's tiring. However, I'm glad CP likes it. Oh well, but sometimes it's good to just spend money and enjoy the nice food and ambience at a restaurant.

It's also on this special occasion that I also specially rented another camera with lens. I supposed I wanted to try out the lens and it is capable of taking nice potrait shots with nice bokeh (something like the blurred background you see in photos).

Nikon D50 dSLR with 50mm F1.4 lens

I should be renting the same lens again to cover an upcoming event. Also specially bought a Lowepro camera bag just for that. It can take 2 SLR bodies, with external flash and lens.

I've a Wonderful Husband!

My birthday's over, so sad! I'm can't bear to part with yesterday... but what control do I have to make yesterday stay?

I had a wonderful time on my birthday; My husband spent it with me. :) The celebration started on Saturday night...

Firstly, he prepared a delicious dinner for me. We had chicken chop spaghetti. He took care of the details and I would say the food display is pretty nice.

Secondly, he gave me a present that I love, a Creative Zen mp3 player. :)



Thirdly, he brought me to a late night movie "Pan's Labyrinth" and we both enjoyed the show.

Lastly, on Sunday, he treated me to a good lunch at Surf 'n' Turf.



What more could I ask for? Thank you so much, my thoughtful Husband! I enjoy this birthday a lot! :)

An early present

Hehe, just received my first birthday gift for this year. :) It was from a very thoughtful ex-colleague that has just left my present company. VN and I met her for dinner today. We had porridge buffet at Quality Hotel. Both VN and I didn't expect her to prepare our birthday presents. Thanks, C for the nice necklace! I took down you birthdate liao! Won't forget June 19! ;P I find the dinner so-so but the girls talk was definitely fun!

I'm a January Baby

Yes, my birthday is coming soon! It is only until today that I realised that almost all of my new colleagues in my project team, like me, are born in January! Only the boss's birthday is in Nov and another team member whose birthday is in Dec (his birthday is very near though, if he had waited 4 more days, he would have been a January baby too :P).

Wow! This is the first time I find so many people having the same birthday month as me, there are sometimes 1 or 2 but none as big as this group! Even boss was surprised, he has no idea about this and swears that birthday month was definitely not one of the criteria he looked for when he recruited us. Haha... What a coincidence!

We tried to buy Toto using our birthdates but the combination was actually sold out! Hot Numbers, aren't they? This year, the celebration is going to be fun!

Goodbye 2006, Hello 2007!

How fast time flies! It's 2007 already! Looking back at last year, DC and I went through quite a few chapters of life together. We had our home renovation done, planned for our wedding dinner, got married customarily, began our life under the same roof...and there were also the enjoyable holiday trips. Wow! It seems that 2006 has been very fruitful and eventful for both of us! We hope that 2007 would be better! Happy 2007!

Missing SD card ... for the 2nd time!!!

Arghh ... I bought the camera to a friend's wedding dinner but know what, for the 2nd time I forgot the memory card!!! This time, there are no techie shops which i can buy a spare again, at least not at Raffles Town Club, where the wedding is held.

So what I can offer are some low-res photos taken with my SE W850i camera-phone.

Lamborghini spotted

Not a very common sight indeed to spot 2 Lamborghini on the same day, at the same place and time. These two were parked outside Meritus Mandarin and attracted lots of attention from passerby. I couldn't resist but to take a few shots as well.

First Meal of 2007

This is the first meal of the year. We went Yum Cha Restaurant for Tim Sum breakfast.

Look at the greenish dumpling...that's a new dish, dunno what it's called. The color looks weird but it tastes like "Har Kao" prawn dumplings... not too bad at all! :)

New Year Fireworks

Again it's back to the Esplanade/ Marina Promenade for the fireworks. Went there with wfie, Malcolm and Qiufang after catching the movie Borat! This Borat is simply hilarious AND CRUDE!!! Slightly off-thread there. Anyway, here's my take of the fireworks. I was at Marina Promenade near to the Benjamin Sheares Bridge. It's a bit too close to the fireworks though; we could even smell the gunpowder.
