This month whizzed past and before I know, he's already 5 months old! Now that I've started working, I can only get daily updates from my PILs about him... I take over the nursing at night but the night is so short - I've to prepare him for bed straight after my dinner and that's only about 1 to 2 hours! Can't really bond much on weekdays...
We have been bringing him out on weekends to swim and for afternoon teas. His swimming skills really wowed us, it's such a happy sight when we saw how he enjoyed the sessions one better than the previous! :)
Baby's eyes seem to be fully functional. He can see far, knows where to look out for us at a distance and he could see well in the night too. He focuses well now - sometimes you'll spot him crossed eye, staring hard on the milk bottle, ha.
His hands more coordinated, he's always ready to grab whatever that touches the little hands, that includes his face - he had scratches on his face once in a while. Just yesterday, he tried to touch my face with his hands! :)
Like last month, he has no problem sleeping through the night (I carry and rock him to sleep every night) but he still naps very little during the day according to my ILs. *worried* However, he now don't cry that often when put him on his bed. I guess he's been having the fun flipping himself to his side. No, he's not on his stomach yet - still hates lying on his stomach!
Now, there's another thing that worries me - Baby has mastered the skill of sucking the bottle teat without drinking the milk! Sometimes while feeding when you check on him 15 mins later, you'll realised that there's still that much of milk left in the bottle! Luckily this doesn't take place all the time, otherwise he'll not be having enough nutrition (not to mention the fact that he's already drinking lesser than his peers)! I'm very proud that most of the time I can make him drink up his milk... but this is a trick that DC and his parents has yet to pick up.
At month 4, Baby's personality is slowly beginning to show... he'll shout angrily and grumble when you push the bottle to him on times when he does't want to be fed, he'll laugh out loud happily and smile very sweetly when people play with him, he's cranky when he's sleepy and he has the ability to mimic other babies! Yes! We were caught by surprise that day when we thought we heard him crying and it turned out that he was not crying at all, he was just having fun making sounds exactly like the crying baby!
Baby, oh Baby, how fun it is to discover what you can do day by day! :)
