My 21-month old Baby

Baby is very active at this stage!

He roams around the house with hyper energy, throwing all balls or puzzle in his sight.

He gets bored with things easily and does other things creatively to get by that boredom e.g.flipping his toy animals to face the door, switching the colors in the color board, finding other ways to play the same toy.

The "Heigh Ho" song bores him now. He just couldn't stand sitting through the whole song and will request for his now favorite "The Wheels on the Bus" song. He does the actions for this song very cutely! :) Nowadays, he always request to watch it by signing the rolling of the hands. Milk time is also in front of the LCD, otherwise he won't cooperate to drink his milk!

He passes me the phone (or holds it against his ear) and says: "Hi-lo"! It just makes my day when I hear that! :)

He helps wipe his table and floor when he sees tissues or wet wipes. We were suspecting that he may grow up to be a clean freak! He hates mess in his hands and that includes paint!

He helps throw things in the bins! That creates a bit of a headache for us.

He continues to explore button pressing. This time, he targets the buttons on the X-box, DVD and Karaoke players!

He also starts to pinch and it can be pretty forceful at times. Luckily, it's not very frequently that he pinches.

He knows his routine well and could tell us what to do before we even do it. e.g. when it's time to go out, he'll point at my bag, his shoes, signal us to get the keys, open the door, etc and when his grandparents changed to go home, he'll get them to wear their specs! :)

We signed him up for a 2-hr playgroup. So far so good. :)

He requests to wash his hands with soap. Probably he learnt it in school.

Diet wise, he's rejecting porridge and turning to noodles. It was a challenge to feed him the same old porridge and he'll choose noodle or adult food anytime. Time for a change!

He's drinking more water now that we switched him to the straw bottle full time. A good sign! :)

We try to bring him swimming almost every week. He's still wary of water but we've seen great improvement! He could float by himself for a second and I got it all taped but unfortunately, the videos were gone now. :(

Baby loves to go out. He strolls in the neighborhood 2 times in the day and always signals me to take my bag and unlock the door every night just before his bedtime!

We had a fall on the escalator and he's now afraid of the escalator! :( I'm guilty! DC took care of Baby during my recuperation days and he did a great job putting Baby to sleep on his own! My boy now plays, talks, rolls and flips himself to bed every night all thanks to DC.
