RICE for my sprained foot

I visited my usual doctor today. I was still limping badly and had to take another day of rest. And you know what? I decided to take a cab there although it was just across the road! $5.50 for a 1 minute ride cos I made a booking for the cab. :P

My trusted doctor told me the treatment for sprains is RICE:
R - Rest
I - Ice
C - Compression
E - Elevation

And, she wrote a x-ray slip for the nearby hospital and advised me to take an x-ray...

I had more than enough (R)est these few days - I stayed on my bed practically the whole day every day. The effective period of (I)cing is over - according to DC, it should be done within 24 hours. (C)ompression is not necessary as I don't think it's bone fracture. I'll try to (E)levate my leg tonight.

X-ray? Hmm, Let's see if the above works. I'll consider it if I have not recovered by next week!
