Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hoppers fiance; Alexander Skarsgrd as Hoppers older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hoppers crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stones superior (and Sams father), Admiral Shane.

Quite a nice one! There's a good mix of characters: loser with great potential, serious, silly, sexy and extraterrestrial that made the movie interesting. It was also packed with great actions and unimaginable happenings along the way. I like that the ending is good but somehow felt that the fight ended a little too abrupt and that the bro died.

Actually, this movie reminded me of the project that I was involved years ago, for the navy. As DC was explaining the terms to me (he was into naval ships when he was young), the names of the equipment started flowing back to me!
