It caught our attention that the primary school that we wanted to put A in was so popular that by phase 2B for this year's P1registration, there were only 7-8 places left! It's crazily alarming!
Our hopes were quite dashed and we decided that it was not going to work! The chances of getting in were too slim! Now, the question was, which school then? And, should we go for a co-ed school?
We did some research into some schools nearby and was monitoring this year's P1 registration very closely. I was thinking of starting parental volunteering (PV) but alas! The school that I called wouldn't even accept PV! "The volunteers of existing students were sufficient for the school", they said! I guess as parents, you would do anything to get your children to good schools but how far would you go? We were considering, since PV was not an option, how about moving near to the school for a better chance? Worst case, go back to our alma mater... Well, we'll have to see the results of 2C to decide...
