Decided to go down to recce for a spot to take fireworks. Found one probably good spot ... and it's not too long a walk in. But I still think I will probably watch from opposite at Marina Promenade. Anyway, I think the park's quite nice. First time I ever stepped into it. There is even a sundial there.

X'mas Party
This Christmas was indeed different from the others. We hosted a party at home, reserved for Ahem! only my beloved family. We had roasted turkey, pork knuckle, honey-baked ham, hotdogs and sausages, sushi sets, DC's fruit cocktail and champagne. It seems like everyone loves the pork knuckle. It was finished before long. Next favorite was the sushi. Ah boy almost ate up all the ebi sushi.
Next it's gift exchange time! This is the highlight of the night. Everyone has presents this year. Here's how the game goes: Boy Boy is the appointed administrator of the game. He picks a present and the present-giver will shout out the receiver's name. The receiver goes to Boy Boy to collect the present from him and takes a picture with him. It felt a bit like an award ceremony hehe.
I devised a treasure hunt for Boy Boy. He has to solve the hints that I hid at the different places before he can get his present. But alas, one of the hints was exposed before the gift exchange when he playfully took out my gym ball (where the hint was hidden). Luckily he don't know about the hunt and after a while of playing, he put the hint and the gym ball back in place. Phew!
Boy Boy was blessed with the most presents (of couse, he was all our precious darling), next was his mum. Sis got her dream Canon digital camera and she was very touched. I gave DC a Zoid and Boy Boy wanted it for himself. We took a while to answer his questions and convince him that the toy is not for him.
Finale was cake cutting by sis as today is also her birthday but poor thing, every year her cake is always the x'mas themed log cake. Haha...

X'mas Celebration in Office
Had some fun, joy and laugher celebrating x'mas in office today. X'mas lunch was from Fig and Olive. There's ham, turkey, log cake, etc x'mas party sets. It was quite yummy. Following lunch was the gift exchange. After gift exchange, we sat down for some games.
I got a shawl from Carine, just what I need. The office is getting cold and I was about to look for a jacket or shawl to fight the cold. :) Besides the shawl, I received three other presents from colleagues: a box of chocolate, puzzle bathing gel and handphone strap. Didn't expect to get extra presents so, I didn't prepare any...so paiseh but Thank You so much for the presents! I am certainly blessed this christmas! :)

Christmas Wish Tree
A new phone - SE W850i
Just got a new SE W850i from Singtel today. Selling at $99. It was so cheap that I had to reserve for it 2 weeks ago. Comes with a 1GB Memory Stick and a expensive earpiece. The value of these two items already come to $90. The phone is practically free!
Like this walkman phone very much. Cool playback mode. But think the camera may lose to my old K750i as there is no autofocus. Here are some photos.

A pecan pie
A new tripod head at double the price!!!
I just bought a nice little tripod ballhead as I felt my 3-way head was too heavy. This new one that I bought 2nd-hand weighs in nicely at just over 300g and can support up to 5kg. Seems a good deal at $100 until I saw another guy selling the same thing for $50 at Clubsnap ... Damn it ... I was watching the ads there for over two weeks but only until I made my move did all these offers came up! What a headache ...

A Christmas House Warming
Not so much of a hse warming but more of a Christmas gathering for friends. It's been about 10 months since we moved in and things really start to clutter around the place. Had such a hard time cleaning/ hiding the stuff so that the place can be clean and cosy for the guests ... hmm, early spring cleaning for CNY? Goodies on that day include Ikea meatballs, Christmas log cake, honey-baked ham, fruit cocktail, Paulaner Brahaus pork knuckles and catered buffet.

What a feast!
This is our first time having a mini Buddha-jump-over-the-wall. That's not all, following this is what you call 棚菜. There are so much goodies in it, vegies, roast pork, mushrooms, simply delicious. Following that are Peking duck, steamed fish a.k.a turbo fish "多饱鱼" (??? never heard of this kind of fish), noodles in abalone sauce and bird's nest egg tarts as well! CP got rashes after the dinner, we suspect it's due to the bird's nest ... hehe, too bad for her, I take her portion next time.
