Marina Bay Sands Free Staycation
We had a free night stay, thanks to someone ... I wouldn't be too keen if I were to pay ... I felt that MBS was too crowded.
Ordered a prime beef burger, warm chocolate tart with praline ice-cream, Singapore Sling and Tequila Sunrise. The ice-cream was such a huge portion, much like a mini-tub. Definietely worth the price.
A enjoying his favourite noodles.
The room seemed nice, especially the bathtub. Service was good too. We had in-room dining.

Breakfast was of course good. My first and only criteria of a good breakfast was that they could do sunny-side up eggs, something which RWS had do away with. Well, it helped that MBS had a carving station of honey-baked ham, nice dim sum, salted butter, juices, soy milk and wide selection of bread.
B enjoying her sunny-side up egg.

I like western breakfast.
I only hated the long walk to the carpark and the crowded and boring infinity pool at the top ...

The Maze Runner
The Maze Runner ~ 移动迷宫
CAST: Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Aml Ameen
DIRECTOR: Wes Ball
LANGUAGE: English
OPENING: 11 Sep 2014
RUNTIME: 113 mins
RATING: PG - Some Violence
When Thomas wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. Only by piecing together fragments of his past with clues he discovers in the maze can Thomas hope to uncover his true purpose and a way to escape. Based upon the best-selling novel by James Dashner.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was THE SHOW, both DC and I thought as we were watching it in the cinema! The recent 2 movies we've watched were letdowns and this one brought us excitement and anticipation. Not a bad one to spend our dating anniversary!
The plot or scenes made you think of the Hunger Games movie series -- victims forced to be in an unknown land with traps, constantly fighting for survival, etc.
We liked this and will be watching the second installment. :)

Fixed?
Seems the sound at the back of the car is finally fixed this 3rd time .... the rattling sound at the back seems to come from the door catch at the back. Seemed to have gotten loose over time. It also only occurred when the car has been on the road for about 15 min, probably need time to warm up, which cause the chassis to expand ... VW put some grease over the catch.
Monitor mode right now .... hope it doesn't come back.

I shop with the keyboard and mouse
I like shopping online. It's comfortable and easy. The disadvantages would be maybe the items didn't fit sometimes or damaged during shipping. In any case, I found that my online shopping probably takes up 70% of all the shopping that I do!
Newest buy, I'm a sucker for keyboards ... Looking forward to this new Logitech.

The existing gas pipes were all rusty so the technician decided to change them. Forgot to ask if I'll be charged ... but it's for the better. Looks great.

I'm talking about the wrought iron grilles at the balcony area ... I was quoted $1,200 for just the replacement of the corroded bar at the top!!!

My First Prada
I used to hate totes but I absolutely love them now. A messenger bag slung across the body always cut me quite uncomfortably at the neck. A shopping tote is quite handy actually ... well, you hold with the hands. Nice and trendy :)
This for a steal at $734 at Reebonz.

Got this swivel TV mount from Homefix for $79. The TV would not be facing the bed.
This laundry rack hanger actually cost $35.90 ... bought from a neighbourhood shop ...
False ceiling is up.
Living room windows viewed from the balcony.

All for the savings
I never like going into Malaysia Johor Bahru. The long queues at the causeway is a turn off, so is the high crime rate over the other end ... However, I had to make an exception this time.
We went in to JB on a afternoon to buy KDK fans. Indeed, the savings were huge! 4 ceiling fans for about S$630. That would cost about S$1200 - $1500 in SG.
