Completed this anime series this weekend. It's really fantastic! Set in the futuristic universe where men and women live in separate planets and consider each other as enemies, the story tells of how 3 men held prisoners in a ship full of female pirates were slowly accepted by the women as part of the crew and how they unite with other human spieces of other planets to fight "Earth".
There is a combination of actions (space battles), romance and comedy. The man mech robot (known as Vanguard/Bangaata) could combine with the women's fighter (known as Dreads) to form a "Vandread". There are about 3 types of different Vandreads in the anime and they were so cool and powerful!!! Reminds me of transformers...
