We've heard enough of environmentalists warning the world of global warming and its harming effects. Here, the government has the Singapore Green Plan 2012 to protect and create sustainable environment for the future generations. Last year Apr, the "Bring Your Own Bag Day" (BYOBD) campaign started to reduce the use of plastic bags. Recently, SMRT also launched its "Go Green with SMRT" campaign to urge all to take public transport in an effort to reduce carbon and clear the air. The whole world is going green... So, how did DC and I play our part?
Well, I would say DC did take some concious effort to collect plastic containers, glass bottles and unwanted papers every month for recycling but the fact that he always lock himself in the study room WITH THE AIR-CON AND HIS COMPUTERS ON when he is at home negates all his minute effort towards energy saving. Ha!
I'm actually no better... emitting fumes from car (that dreadful car brake incident), opening the windows when the air-con is on and today, leaving the fridge door opened! *Guilty*
Hmm, perhaps we really should start somewhere...
Like they always say: Making small changes to your daily routine can add up to big changes in helping to stop global warming. So, let's take action now and do our part to save Gaia!
