Usually we would print our photos at home with our Selphy photo printer. Recently, for a change, we tried to print my cousin's wedding photos for my relatives at a nearby photo shop where there are the self-help kiosks. It was really convenient and easy to use, although it costs slightly more, the paper and colour quality is actually pretty good.
Harvey Norman also has this service and has come up with a 1st birthday 1+1=3 promotion...Print 2 photots of size 5R and above and get 1 photo free. We've also tried it and there's no complaints to the photo quality, the photos can be collected quite quickly within an hour. It's just that the service quality of the staffs is a bit lacking.
Somehow the colour of photos printed from our Selphy is not as satisfactory as before and manual calibratation has to be done from time to time to get the desired effects. We've been considering for some time whether or not to replace it with a better photo printer. Think we still prefer to direct print from home as and when we like but the new photo printer has to be able to match up to the quality that are offered by these self-service counters!
