B is 5 months old

B has shown lots of progress this month!

She could now flip to her right on her tummy in an instant, reach out for things easily, follow directions/even smile when she sees you a distance away, blow her milk or saliva out of her mouth, salivates lots and today, flip back and slide backwards! That means, we no longer could put her on the rocker, sofa or bed without supervision.

She's a sweetie to hug but could be quite feisty when you put her down (as she likes to be carried and carried the way she likes). She has also developed separation anxiety from her mummy and rejects unfamiliar faces by spouting her mouth and crying out loud!

She's outgrow a lot of her clothes and we've got her some new pyjamas and hand-me-downs from her cousin Rachel (Thanks!).

She had her first haircut and she did not cry at all! We also followed the tradition to give her a drumstick to taste. She likes it! I realized that nowadays when she sees us eating, she'll salivate and her tongue would come out licking her lips! Every thing that comes to her goes to her mouth! Time for solids? Hmm...

She started grabbing things and often, when she couldn't find her towel/blanket or anything within her reach, she will either (1) put her two thumbs into her mouth or (2) pull her hair (right side)! Cute!

We've changed her bottle teat size to medium and that allows more milk to flow through and reduce her feeding time. She is now drinking 150-180ml of mixed milk per feed with 60ml of breast milk in between feeds. She has overcome the powder issues and I'm happy that Similac works for her. Her nanny is doing a great job taking care of her. I think she enjoys her time with her nanny.

On Tuesday, there was an electricity cut off and 11 bottles of precious milk were wasted. I felt so sorry! Those milk could have gone to A and B and now they were gone in the chute! :( Mummy is now under stress to produce more milk and to stock up enough for her dearies!
